The 13th-century Gothic building replaced a 10th-century Romanesque church which collapsed in 1228, leaving only the north door. Its most iconic part is the separate 16th-century pear-shaped bell tower.

In fact he's thought to be the founder of Western cryptography. This sculpture stands in a public square and was made by Giovanni Lusini in the 19th century.

Mariangelo Accorso (also Accursio) (c1489-1546) was an Italian writer and critic in the Niches of the Uffizi Colonnade in Florence, Italy. His sculpture was completed by Odoardo Fantacchiotti (1811-1877). It is located in an open public space in the Niches.
