Karaoğlanoğlu Martyrdom was built in memory of the soldiers who were martyred in the 1974 Cyprus Peace Operation and was named after the Regiment Commander, Senior Colonel İbrahim Karaoğlanoğlu, who was one of the first officers who lost their lives in the first hours of the Operation.
