The equestrian statue of Friedrich Wilhelm III, King of Prussia (1770 – 1840) stands on Cologne’s Heumarkt square. The statue was dedicated by representatives of the citizenry of Cologne in September 1878. In October 2009 the equestrian statue was returned to its place on the Heumarkt after lengthy restoration work. Equestrian sculpture was sculpted by Gustav Blaeser, most of the figures and reliefs by Hermann Schievelbein; assisted by Alexander Calandrelli, Rudolf Schweinitz and Carl Schuler.

Oslo, Norway: Norwegian Royal Palace - Slottet - the main residence of the King of Norway. It was built from 1825 to 1849 by Charles III John, who reigned as king of Norway and Sweden, designed by the architect Hans Linstow in the classicist style. The building is located at the end of Karl Johans gate, is surrounded by 22 hectares of gardens. It serves as the king's residence, a place of state representation, the administration of the monarchy and also the most elegant guest house in the country. The building is a three-wing complex made of plastered brick. The Karl Johan monument is an equestrian statue by Brynjulf ​​Bergslien, unveiled in 1875.
