The public fountain that can be found in mountain top, perched village of Gourdon, known as the Eagles Nest, in the Alpes-Maritimes region of Provence, near Grasse.Built in in1852 the fountain, with four gargoyle heads spouting water, is dedicated  by the  Provencal Audibert family to Deputy Mayor, Flory GaspardThe construction was funded by Jean-Louis Cavalier who, in 1847 bequeathed 20,000 francs for the building of the fountain.

This vintage lithograph print depicts the portrait of a chief of an Araucanian tribe in Chile, circa 1856. He may be of the fierce Mapuche people, who resisted both Inca and Spanish conquest attempts. He is holding a spear and is wearing traditional tribal dress. Lithograph is a facsimile of the painting by John Mix Stanley (1814 - 1872). Published in the 1856 record of an American expedition to Chile, it is now in the public domain.
