The Amazonas Theater (Teatro Amazonas in Portuguese) is an opera house located in Manaus, in the Amazon rainforest, which was inaugurated on December 31, 1896. It is considered one of the most beautiful theaters in the world.\nts construction was financed by the rubber economic boom that took place in Manaus at the end of the 19th century. The theater was designed by Italian architect Giovanni Battista Costa and built with materials imported from Europe, such as marble from Italy, tiles from Alsace and furniture from France.\n\nThe facade of the theater is neoclassical in style, with a colonnade and a portico topped by a dome covered with 36,000 tiles decorated in the colors of the Brazilian flag.\nThe interior of the theater is even more impressive, with its auditorium richly decorated with marble, stucco and paintings. The auditorium ceiling is decorated with panels painted by Italian artist Domenico De Angelis, which depict scenes from Greek and Roman mythology.\nThe Amazonas Theater has excellent acoustics and can accommodate up to 700 spectators. It hosts a wide variety of performances, including operas, concerts, ballets and plays.\nThe Amazonas Theater is one of the main cultural symbols of Manaus and Brazil. It has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000.\nHere are some other interesting details about the Amazonas
