Rome, Italy, April 11 -- A dark sky looms over Castel Sant'Angelo near the Vatican and St. Peter's Basilica. Built around 123 AD as a sepulcher for Emperor Hadrian and his family, the current Castel Sant'Angelo was used as a fortress, prison and refuge by the Popes, connected to the Vatican by a long narrow narrow corridor called 'Passetto'.
