The tunnel is 3,118 ft. long and was completed in the mid 1800s.\n\nThe image is also largely symbolic with a pathway leading into darkness, the great unknown of what is to come as a person starts a new beginning in life.

Gunma, Japan -August 11, 2024: This is the Usui Pass Tunnel. It is a railway tunnel that passes through Usui Pass (between Yokokawa and Karuizawa) that opened in 1893.The line is now abandoned, and you can walk through it.There are currently 10 tunnels on the old line that you can pass through.\nIt has been designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan, along with Usui Third Bridge (Megane Bridge), the largest 4-arch bridge in Japan.

The Illinois Iron Furnace is the only remaining iron furnace structure in the state of Illinois. Iron was manufactured at the Illinois Furnace by the charcoal blast method. The exterior of the furnace was manufactured of large limestone blocks quarried near the town of Cave-In-Rock.
