The Pallas-Athene Fountain (Pallas-Athene-Brunnen) is a wonderful example of artwork created between 1893 and 1902 to give an allegorical representation of the four most important rivers of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. It stands in front of the Austrian Parliament building, a Greek revival style palace. This impressive architectural complex is one of the most famous landmark of Vienna. Black and white image.

A classical reclining female nude figure graces the pediment over the entrance to the Frick Mason on E. 70th Street. On the right side, a cupid holds a mirror for the beauty. \n\nSherry Edmundson Fry (1879-1966) designed the sculpture, which was carved into the marble stone by Attilio Piccirilli ((1866-1945.) \n\nFry’s model was Audrey Munson. Munson posed for more than a dozen important statues, sculptures, and friezes, most of which still stand to this day across Manhattan and Brooklyn. She is now often called “America’s First Supermodel.”
The Trevi Fountain is the largest of the famous fountains in Rome. Begun in 1732, it was finally entrusted in 1759 to Pietro Bracci helped by his son Virginio.

Florence, Italy -- The magnificent bronze statue of the Perseus lifting the head of Medusa after cutting it off, realized by Benvenuto Cellini and conserved in the Loggia Dei Lanzi, in Piazza della Signoria. Commissioned by Cosimo de Medici, the statue represents the cutting of the republican experiences of the city and of political divisions. The Loggia dei Lanzi, a open structure with arch and columns designed by Orcagna in 300, was used for official ceremonies by the Florentine government. Image in High Definition format.
