Cytochrome P450 molecule. CYP 3A4 is the most promiscuous of the human CYP enzymes. Molecular model. 3D rendering. Illustration
A ball and stick + ribbons model of HIV protease - an enzyme that is the target of much AIDS and HIV research.
Avibactam is a diazobicyclooctane inhibitor of gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. Avibactam (red) inhibits the bacterial enzyme beta-lactamase (blue) of Clostridioides difficile.

Immunoglobulin G (IgG) - 3d rendered image. Microbiology illustration the structure of an antibody. The Y-shaped structure. IgG is the most common type of antibody.
Taq polymerase PCR enzyme: a heat-stable DNA polymerase protein that is the key component that makes the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) possible, which is essential for DNA cloning and sequencing
A ball-and-stick molecular model of the hormone Orexin, also known as Hypocretin. Orexin is involved in the regulation of the sleep/wake cycle and it stimulates apetite, wakefulness and energy expenditure. It has been linked with Alzheimer's disease. Isolated on white.
Complex components: actin pentamer(mid blue), tropomyosin dimer (light blue), myosin head (dark blue), ADP is depicted in red.

A model of a molecule of arginine, an amino acid. Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins and have many functions in metabolism. In particular, Arginine has an important function in the immune system, wound healing and cell division.
Epidermal growth factor (EGF) activates the EGF receptor (EGFR), that builds a heterodimer with HER3. The signal transduction continues through GRB2/SOS, Ras, Raf/MEK and ERK, that will activate many processes in the cell. Dysregulation is linked to cancer progression

c-Myc and Max transcription factors bound to DNA. 3D illustration. Atoms shown as spheres with conventional color coding.
A molecule of sucrose, showing thermal ellipsoids.
3D cartoon and Gaussian surface models. PDB 3kqg, chain id color scheme, white background.
Colorful Molecules Background
Cholera toxin, molecular model. Cholera toxin (choleragen) is a protein complex secreted by the bacterium Vibrio cholerae, that causes the disease cholera. It is made up of a wedge-shaped A subunit (right part of illustration) and five B subunits (left part of illustration) that form a ring which binds to the intestinal lining. In its most severe forms, cholera is one of the most rapidly fatal illnesses known.
A ball and stick model of Eicosapentaenoic Acid or EPA. It is an omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid. It is introduced into the diet by eating oily fish. When it comes to fat, there’s one type you don’t want to cut back on: omega-3 fatty acids. Two crucial ones - EPA and DHA - are primarily found in certain fish.
Aztreonam (left, orange) inhibits the beta-lactamase from Acinetobacter species. Avibactam (red) inhibits the beta-lactamase (blue) of Clostridioides difficile.
Molecular model of lactose, a disaccharide sugar in milk.
