Ornithogalum pyramidale, commonly known as the star of Bethlehem, is a herbaceous perennial plant in the family Asparagaceae. It is native to Europe and Asia, and is naturalized in North America. The plant grows to a height of 30-120 cm, with a basal rosette of linear leaves. The flowers are white, star-shaped, and borne in a pyramidal raceme. The flowers bloom in June and July. The plant is poisonous, and should not be ingested.\n\nHere are some additional details about Ornithogalum pyramidale:\n\nThe plant is a bulb-forming perennial.\nThe leaves are linear, 8-15 mm wide, and 30-120 cm long.\nThe flowers are white, star-shaped, and 1-2 cm in diameter.\nThe flowers bloom in June and July.\nThe plant is poisonous, and should not be ingested.\nOrnithogalum pyramidale is a popular garden plant, and is often used in borders, rock gardens, and containers.
