Ancient weathered clock face with faded numbers isolated on a white background
This was the inaugural Tunbridge Wells church, built in English baroque style between 1678-1684 and consecrated in 1887. The sundial  isn't dated but is thought to be from the 18th century. 'You may Waste but cannot Stop me' is meant to refer to the relentless marching of time and is ascribed to Alex Rae Facit, the designer.
