Nikko, Japan - October 21st, 2014: The Karamon at Tosho-gu Shrine Mausoleum surrounded by cedar forrest in rainy morning. The karamon or karakado is a type of gate seen in Japanese architecture. It is characterized by the usage of karahafu, an undulating bargeboard peculiar to Japan. Karamon are often used at the entrances of Japanese castles, Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines, and have historically been a symbol of authority.

$All 48 units of bronze lanterns are Nationally designated important cultural property. These were dedicated by various daimyo who own castles and large rice fields.\nTaken in May 2018 at Toshogu in Ueno Park, Tokyo.$

The picture is quite blurred, making it difficult to describe the details accurately. However, it appears to be an outdoor scene at a religious or cultural site.
