Ships of three navies are docked at Garden Island naval base in Sydney Harbour:  INS Kolkata (D63) and INS Sahyadri (F49) of the Indian Navy; USS Rafael Peralta (DDG-115) of the US Navy; HMAS Choules (L100), HMAS Brisbane (DDG41), HMAS Sydney (DDG42) and HMAS Adelaide (L01) of the Royal Australian Navy. The Maldivian Coast Guard is the naval or maritime arm of the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF). As the Maldives does not have a navy, the Coast Guard also functions as such.
