The flowering pitanga plant is a small tropical tree or shrub known for its dark green, glossy leaves. During its blooming period, the pitanga displays a profusion of small white to pink flowers arranged in clusters that beautify the plant. These flowers are followed by the development of red or orange fruits, which are small, round, with a thin and flavorful skin. The plant is valued for both its ornamental beauty and the sweet and tangy taste of its fruits.
