Deep-sky astrophotography of NGC 1528, a loose open star cluster in Perseus, shown as a bright concentration of blue-white stars embedded in a rich Milky Way star field. A clean space background image for astronomy, science, and night-sky design themes.
A stunning face-on spiral galaxy located 21 million light-years away. This image of M101 reveals sprawling spiral arms, brilliant star-forming regions, and a luminous galactic core, perfect for scientific education and cinematic space concepts

This was shot with a C8 in a bortl 8.5. I was shooting Jupiter that night, and slewed over to the Flame when I was finished to see what kind of data I could get out of this beast, even under awful light pollution. Pixinsight was key here to eliminate the noise from these 45 second exposures, as I was not guiding that night.
Pretoria, South Africa: Established in 1921, the oldest central bank in Africa, the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) serves as the nation's premier monetary authority. The SARB's primary constitutional mandate is to protect the value of the national currency, the Rand, and to maintain price stability in the interest of balanced and sustainable economic growth. The bank also manages the country's official gold and foreign exchange reserves and oversees the stability of the broader financial system. The SARB coordinates its national operations from its headquarters located on Helen Joseph Street in the central business district of Pretoria. SARB's lower precinct integrates modern institutional infrastructure with Pretoria's architectural heritage. The tower and the low-rise podium, that physically incorporates \
NGC 1788 is a reflection nebula in the constellation of Orion. It is rather sharply defined on its southwest perimeter where it is flanked by the dark nebula known as LDN 1616. LDN 1616 is apparently part of NGC 1788. Captured form my backyard.
Astrophotography image taken with my Skywatcher 200PDS 8 inch Newtonian telescope with narrowband filters in false colours in the constellation Orion.

Deep-sky astrophotography of Messier 35 (M35), a rich open star cluster in Gemini, captured from Munich South with a Seestar S50. At lower right, the tight, distant companion cluster NGC 2158 appears as a compact, grainy glow—often mistaken for a globular cluster—set in a dense star field on a dark night sky.

NGC 4565 (also known as the Needle Galaxy or Caldwell 38) is an edge-on spiral galaxy about 30 to 50 million light-years away in the constellation Coma Berenices
Mount Crawford, Virginia, USA - May 13, 2025: A tall Buc-ee’s sign advertises a new Buc-ee’s location near Harrisonburg in Central Virginia.
NGC 6281 is an open cluster of stars in the constellation Scorpius. It was not included in the Messier or Caldwell catalogues of nebulous objects, but it is the brightest such cluster in the constellation to be left out of both. Data from Telescope Live.

Deep-sky astrophotography of NGC 3718 (Arp 214), a highly unusual warped spiral galaxy with a prominent dust lane and twisted “S-shape” structure. Its close companion NGC 3729 is visible nearby, and the wider field can also reveal members of Hickson Compact Group 56 (HCG 56) as tiny, faint background galaxies—an excellent “spot-the-galaxies” scene for astronomy, research, and discovery themes.

Deep-sky astrophotography of NGC 4449 (Caldwell 21), a Magellanic-type irregular galaxy in Canes Venatici known for intense starburst activity. Captured from Munich South with a Seestar S50, the galaxy appears as a faint, compact glow with subtle internal structure, surrounded by a sparse field of stars against a dark night sky.
