Wild shrubs in the lonely Gobi desert, Umnugovi province, Mongolia. The soil in the surrounding place is brownish sand with some gravels. It is hard to believe those shrubs may grow well with the green leaves. The life may continue to sustain in the midst of hot and cold weather in the solitary Gobi desert.
Dhalkut Wilayat, Dhofar Governorate, Oman: incense tree (Boswellia sacra) in the wilderness, mountains near the Yemeni border- the Frankincense tree or olibanum tree is a tree in the Burseraceae family, it is the main representative of the genus Boswellia, from which frankincense is extracted - The resin is harvested via incisions in the trunk or branches of the tree and removing a narrow strip of bark. A milky sap flows out, which coagulates on contact with air and which is then collected by hand -  Tentative Unesco world heritage site, the area as a whole including Dhofar region in Oman and Hawf region in Yemen has been described as a center of plant diversity, and as a 'fog oasis' in the Arabian Peninsula which is predominantly arid.
