Queen angelfish (Holacanthus ciliaris), also known as the blue angelfish, golden angelfish or yellow angelfish underwater in sea with corals in background
Blacktip Grouper Epinephelus fasciatus occurs in the tropical Indo-Pacific from the Red Sea to South Africa and eastward to the Pitcairn Group, north to Japan and Korea, south to the Arafura Sea, southern Queensland in Australia and Lord Howe Island in a depth range from 4-160m (usually 20-45m), max. length 40cm. Blacktip Grouper is common in outer reef slopes at depths below 15 m, and also occurs in protected bays and lagoons as shallow as 4 m. \nThis species exhibits a combination of simultaneous and sequential hermaphroditism. Smaller individuals within a social group are simultaneous hermaphrodites, while the largest often lose female function and reproduce exclusively as a male. \nThis specimen is looking out in a typical position, on the pectoral fins.\nTriton Bay, Kaimana Regency, West Papua Province, Indonesia \n3°56'26.082 S 134°7'36.63 E at 12m depth

Golden Damsel Amblyglyphidodon aureus occurs in the tropical Western Pacific from Andaman Sea and Christmas Island in the Eastern Indian Ocean to Fiji, north to the Ryukyu Islands, south to Rowly Shoals and New Caledonia in a depth range from 3-45m, max. length 13cm.\nJuveniles in small groups are often found among large sea fans. Adults occur in steep outer reef, occasionally in deep lagoons and along channel walls, usually in current prone habitats and where there are abundant gorgonian and long sea-whip corals on which they lay and guard eggs. The species feeds on zooplankton. \nMost of the time, a fish's behavior depends on its species. From time to time it is possible to meet exceptions, like this specimen, a very curious character, not shy at all, who came back looking at the camera many times.\nTriton Bay, West Papua Province, Indonesia, \n3°54'52.0617 S 134°7'21.3867 E at 9m depth

Beautiful red Montbretia Coppertips flower botanical name Crocosmia crocosiiflora found at the side of a Scottish roadway.
Redbreasted Wrasse Cheilinus fasciatus occurs in the tropical Indo-Pacific from the east coast of Africa and islands of the western Indian Ocean to Micronesia and Samoa and Tonga, north to the Ryukyu Islands, Japan and south to Queensland, Australia in a depth range from 4-60m, but usually not deeper than 40m, max. length 40cm. This specimen was encountered at the Iro Wreck, a 143 meter oil tanker wreck since March 1944, WWII, was ordered by the Japanese Navy during the 1920´s building programs. Although heavily overgrown with black coral and sponges, the torpedo hole is still clearly visible. The wreck sits upright between 15m and 36m of water. The outside of the ship has developed a nice coating of colourful invertebrates, mostly sponges and oysters. Palau 7°17'40.08 N 134°25'15.51 E at 20m depth
