Asclepias incarnata (Swamp Milkweed) Native North American Wetland Wildflower

A handsome, carefree evergreen shrub with dense, spineless, thread leaf foliage on an upright, bushy form. The soft, narrow, dark green leaflets create a fern-like appearance. Bright yellow flower spikes appear in fall, followed by purple-blue berries. Use as a filler in borders and beds or as an accent.

$Cornus alba, the red-barked, white or Siberian dogwood, is a species of flowering plant in the family Cornaceae, native to Siberia, northern China and Korea. It is a large deciduous surculose (suckering) shrub that can be grown as a small tree. As a popular ornamental used in landscaping its notable features include the red stems in fall (autumn) through late winter, bright winter bark; and the variegated foliage in some cultivars, such as C. alba 'Elegantissima'. $Arisaema ringens, commonly called cobra lily, is a tuberous perennial that is native to Japan. Each tuber produces a single stalk containing two glossy green trifoliate leaves, with each leaf having three leaflets. From the center of the leaf stalks rises a cobra-like flower in spring. Each flower consists of a showy, green and purple striped spathe with a hood that covers the inner yellow to white flower spike known as the spadix. Stalks, leaves, flowers and fruits give this plant a tropical aura.
