Ever since, Yosakoi has become popular throughout Japan and Yosakoi festivals are now held all over throughout the year.

It is an one of the biggest annual event with nine-day Taoist celebration beginning on the eve of the ninth lunar month of the Chinese calendar. Taoist master is leading devotees - rocking sedan chair carrying god's statue and walking on burning charcoal ceremony, in which they must complete 9-day pure vegetarian prior to the ceremony for blessing.
