Munich, Germany. The New Town Hall. A series of glass paintings were created between 1910 and 1912 by Gustav von Treeck. Founded by the Russian businessman Murdoch Abramowski, who emigrated to the United States. This one show a close-up portrait of Benjamin Franklin. When the Americans entered the war, the Nazis took the windows out and put them in a depot. They were the only ones who remained intact.
