Butea monosperma is a species of Butea native to tropical and sub-tropical parts of the Indian Subcontinent and Southeast Asia, ranging across India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and western Indonesia. Common names include flame-of-the-forest and bastard teak. In West Bengal, it is associated with spring, especially through the poems and songs of Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore, who likened its bright orange flame-like flower to fire. Many folk literary expressions describe palash as the forest fire. The beauties of dry deciduous forests of Jharkhand reach their height when most trees have fallen their leaves and Palash is in its full bloom. Palash is also the State Flower of Jharkhand. It is said that the tree is a form of Agni, God of Fire.

Kielmeyera coriacea (pau santo) is a medicinal plant native to Cerrado and Pantanal vegetation in Brazil. In addition, this plant is also used as a honey plant. It belongs to the Calophyllaceae family\n\nThe south of Minas Gerais state has steep growing tourism. The region, known by its stunning scenery, is visited for its nature and culture. \n\nThe region is very rich in minerals and rocks and the landscape is full of mountains, waterfalls, and canyons.\n\nThe vegetation is known as Cerrado, a vast tropical savanna.\n\nThe great amounts of research have proved that the Cerrado is one of the richest of all tropical savanna regions in the world, and has high levels of endemism. Characterized by enormous ranges of plant and animal biodiversity, World Wide Fund for Nature named it the biologically richest savanna in the world, with about 10,000 plant species and 10 endemic bird species. There are nearly 200 species of mammal in the Cerrado, though only 14 are endemic.\n\nThus the region is also much visited by ecotourists.
