The grasshopper warbler gets its name from the male's song; a continuous ringing sound, very similar to that of a grasshopper. That is the only thing that is striking about this reed and bush dweller. Grasshopper warblers are very inconspicuously colored and live hidden. They don't like to get out of the cover of the vegetation. Grasshopper warblers are not that choosy when it comes to their habitat; as long as it's wet and rough.
