To see this magnificent gift of nature you have to drive about 20 minutes from La Grita up to the highest paved road of Tachira State in Osorio; then, take two more hours of driving with off road vehicle through the mountains; and finally, there is a two hours hike under severe conditions like small narrow steep rocky gorges, low oxygen level due to the altitue, cold foggy weather and high hills. The scene is magnificent, worth every effort in getting there.

Rosa banksiae, commonly called Banksian rose, is a climbing rose. It may be trained to an arbor, fence or wall where it will climb and cover.
