Camped at Lake Kaweah early 2016 summer. Found out later that the reason several of the camp sites were under water was due to a busted two-foot section of pipe in the main tower of Terminus Dam. The water from Lake Kaweah is used for drinking water and farming irrigation. The US Army Corp of Engineers are working on repairs. Note: Very large red tail hawk on rock.
This very popular Alpine Lake includes  California and Nevada, this view shows the Nevada side with many boulders and looking across the lake to the the shore line view at edge with the heavy forest and on this June day it was  a great view.

Stanislaus National Forest , USA - May 1, 2015: The New Spicer Meadow Reservoir in the Sierra Nevada, in Tuolomne County, is far below normal capacity this time of year. A lack of snow melt has severely affected drinking water, irrigation and recreation throughout Northern California.
