With a farm and silos in the distance,  a large Middle Mississippian mound stands in the Azatlan State Park.  The Native American mound dating from 900 A.D was abandoned around 1200 A.D.

Knowth, Newgrange / Crewbane, County Meath, Ireland: Knowth burial mound (in Irish Cnobha), the site of a Neolithic passage tomb in the Boyne Valley. There is some evidence that activity continued at the Knowth site into the late Neolithic and Bronze Age. The site belongs to the tomb complex of Brú na Bóinne. It lies approximately 1  km northwest of Newgrange, and 2  km west of Dowth. UNESCO world heritage site.

Little Bighorn Battlefield, National Monument memorializes the US Army's 7th Cavalry and the Lakotas and Cheyennes in one of the Indian's last armed efforts to preserve their way of life. Here on June 25 and 26 of 1876, 263 soldiers, including Lt. Col. George A. Custer and attached personnel of the US Army, died fighting several thousand Lakota and Cheyenne warriors.

Groesbeek, Netherlands – oktober 30, 2022\n\nCanadian War Cemetery Groesbeek is the cemetery where 2619 mainly Canadian soldiers are buried who fell in the Second World War. The soldiers buried here have not all died in fighting in the Netherlands, but also in Germany. The Allies did not want their soldiers buried in a hostile country.\n\nThe war cemetery is located north of Groesbeek in the Dutch municipality of Berg en Dal and is maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.

A special tribunal (or pie powder court) meted out justice for serious crimes at this spot, the last hanging being on 3 February 1820 when busking bagpipe player Duncan Livingstone was convicted of killing his 10-year-old assistant. The justice tree was variously known as the grief tree, gallows tree or just 'the tree'. Livingstone's body was interred beneath Rochester Castle's walls.

Op de Duitse Oorlogsbegraafplaats Bergheim in de Frankrijk zijn 5.309 Duitse soldaten herbegraven die eerder op 225 locaties in het departement Haut-Rhin (Elzas)  waren begraven. De meesten van hen zijn  in de Tweede Wereldoorlog omgekomen bij de gevechten in het zuiden van de Elzas.
