Spiraea cantoniensis, also called Bridal-wreath Spiraea, Cape May, Double white May, May bush, and Reeve's Spiraea, is a deciduous perennial shrub typically grown as an ornamental plant in gardens and parks. The plant can reach a height of about 2 meters, tends to be twiggy and spreading into a fountain-like form, and displays frothy clusters of white flowers along the terminal of arching branches. The bush blooms in April and May; hence the common name of May bush.

Hydrangea located in Ichinomiya City, Aichi Prefecture.\n\nIt caught fire from an Instagram post with colorful hydrangea flowers floating in the water, and it has become very popular with young women.
Crape myrtle is a deciduous tree or shrub, with especially handsome bark; the smooth gray outer bark flaking away to reveal glossy cinnamon brown bark beneath. Small white, red, pink or purple flowers are borne in clusters in early summer, often blooming again in late summer.

Berkshire, England - September 25, 2021: this hardy perennial grows to around 2m, and has masses of small green leaves.  In summer, it is covered with hundreds of small white flowers, creating an ethereal impression.

Cornus kousa, commonly called Japanese dogwood, Kousa, and Kousa dogwood, is native to East Asia and is a small, deciduous flowering tree, with bloom occurring from late spring to early summer (May-June). Kousa dogwood “flowers” are four petal-like white bracts which surround the center cluster of yellowish-green, true flowers. Flowers are followed by berry-like fruits which mature to a pinkish red in summer.
