A young male cheetah is seen on a game drive at Inverdoorn Private Game Reserve on Monday 25 April in Ceres, South Africa. The Western Cape is home to a number of hidden safari gems that are all begging to be explored. One such shining gem is located a mere 2.5 hours from the Mother City and is an incredible 10 000 hectare private game reserve that is truly wild and beautiful. Inverdoorn Private Game Reserve is a majestic home to the big 5 in the Tankwa Karoo. The big 5 and other wildlife used to roam this area before being wiped out due to habitat loss, but they have gradually rewilded the land and reintroduced wildlife to this private reserve over the past 20 years.
