Raspberry rust is a malignant disease caused by the phytoparasitic fungus Phragmidium rubi-idaei. This pathogen forms small ulcers on the leaves through which a huge mass of orange spores breaks through. Under a microscope, this pathogen does not look so sinister.
The black colinies are Salmonella bacteria.
A veiny white plasmodium of a slime mould, or myxomycete, is crawling and spreading on a Petri dish surface. Myxomycete is a special organism that gathers from many microscopic unicellular amoebae.
