Forty-two ships and submarines representing 15 international partner nations manuever into a close formation during Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) Exercise 2014. Twenty-two nations, more than 40 ships and six submarines, more than 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC exercise from June 26 to Aug. 1, in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. The world's largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity that helps participants foster and sustain the cooperative relationships that are critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world's oceans. RIMPAC 2014 is the 24th exercise in the series that began in 1971.

The main 76mm cannon and secondary rapid fire 30mm gun of HNLMS Friesland, a Holland-class offshore patrol vessel operated by the Royal Netherlands Navy. The warship was a special guest at Sail Amsterdam event in 2015.
Ships of three navies are docked at Garden Island naval base in Sydney Harbour:  INS Kolkata (D63) and INS Sahyadri (F49) of the Indian Navy; USS Rafael Peralta (DDG-115) of the US Navy; HMAS Choules (L100), HMAS Brisbane (DDG41), HMAS Sydney (DDG42) and HMAS Adelaide (L01) of the Royal Australian Navy. A Japanese Navy warship, JS Shiranui (DD-120), is present but not visible.  These ships are in port to take part in Exercise Malabar conducted over 11 days. The 79th TNI Anniversary was held at the National Monument in Jakarta, October 5, 2024. Many attractions were presented including parachuting, a parade of Army, Navy and Air Force troops, drone attractions, a parade of combat vehicles and fighter aircraft attractions.
