Unfortunately, however, due to Coronavirus pandemic this season, there was no people enjoying Hanami from boat on the moat and very few from foot path around the moat. Cherry blossom is national flower of Japan and can be found everywhere during the cherry blossom season, whether in parks, gardens or just on the streets, which are very crowded by people doing hanami (cherry blossom viewing). \nThere are several hundred species of cherry blossoms in Japan with differences in colors, number of petals, timing of bloom, and size and shape of flowers. I uploaded here some of such species, including drooping cherry blossoms with strong pinkish color.
