Zeyrek Mosque or Pantokrator Monastery, located in Zeyrek Fatih, Istanbul. It consists of two old Byzantine churches and a chapel and represents the finest example of Middle Byzantine architecture in Istanbul. It is the second largest Byzantine religious structure in Istanbul after Hagia Sophia.

It was the largest cathedral ever built in the world for nearly a thousand years. The  building was  constructed as a church between A.D. 532 and 537 on the orders of the Byzantine Emperor Justinian.  In 1453, Constantinople was conquered by the Ottoman Turks and Sultan Mehmed II ordered the building to be converted into the Ayasofya Mosque.
The building that is located in the Edirnekapı neighborhood of İstanbul and called the “Chora Museum” (Kariye Müzesi) is a church building that constitutes the center of the Chora Monastery, which was a great building complex in the Eastern Roman Empire period, and it was dedicated to Jesus Christ. Since it stood outside of the city walls built by Constantine, the building was called “Chora”, which means “in the country” or “outside of the city” in Greek.
