A stunning sunset light envelops the silhouette of the statue of the emperor Trajan along the Fori Imperiali boulevard, in the ancient heart of Rome. This bronze statue, placed in front of the Trajan's Forum, is a copy of the original marble preserved in the National Archaeological Museum of Naples, made in the first century AD. and found in the city of Minturno during some archaeological excavations. The Altare della Patria is the scene of all the official Italian civic celebrations, in particular the Republic Day on June 2 and the Liberation Day on April 25. Rome, Italy: Trajan's Market - the brick building, which is now mostly viewed as an ancient multi-purpose building, was built during the time of Emperor Trajan. It has six floors and the building was designed in a semicircle. The construction was probably started under Domitian (81-96 AD) and then continued and completed under Trajan (98-117 AD). The Trajan's Markets were created in 100–110 AD in connection with the Trajan's Forum, but as an independent complex. The architect named is Apollodorus of Damascus, who was also responsible for the Trajan Forum.

The area of the Roman Imperial Forums is one of the most iconic in Rome, visited by thousands of tourists every year, with the largest area of archaeological excavations in the world. In particular, the Trajan's column was built in 113 AD to celebrate and glorify the victory of the Emperor Trajan over the Dacian people and the conquest of Dacia, today's Romania. The national monument of the Altare della Patria, or Vittoriano, was built in 1885 in neoclassical style in honor of the first King of Italy, Vittorio Emanuele II, between the north side of the Capitoline Hill and the central Piazza Venezia. Inside is the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, a War Memorial dedicated to all the Italian soldiers who died in the war. The Altare della Patria is the scene of all the official Italian civic celebrations, in particular the Republic Day on June 2 and the Liberation Day on April 25.
