Persimmon is the edible fruits of a number of species of trees in the genus Diospyros. The most widely cultivated is the Oriental persimmon, Diospyros kaki. Persimmon fruit matures in late autumn and can stay on the tree until winter.

Callistemon belongs to the family of Myrtaceae and commonly called bottlebrush because of its cylindrical, brush like flowers, which resemble a traditional bottle brushes. The obvious parts of the flower masses are stamens, with the pollen at the top of the filament. The color of the flowers is mostly red, but it varies with species, including white, yellow and orange. The blooming time is May and June.

Erica canaliculata, also called channeled heath, hairy gray heather, bull’s eye design Erica, Janome Erika (in Japan), black stamen Erica, and black-eyed heath, is an erect growing evergreen shrub, which is native to South Africa. It is a flowering plant, with large sprays of pink flowers with black stamen which bloom in winter and spring (December-March).
