The Red Scorpionfish (Scorpaena scrofa) is a species of marine fish that belongs to the family Scorpaenidae. It is a carnivorous bottom-dwelling fish that can be found in the eastern Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. This fish is known for its vibrant red coloration, which helps it blend in with the surrounding rocks and corals. Its dorsal fin is lined with venomous spines, making it a dangerous predator to smaller fish and invertebrates. Despite its venomous spines, the Red Scorpionfish is a popular food fish in many Mediterranean countries.
