80 kilometers from Kayseri, it is home to interesting rock formations used as dovecotes, caves, shelters, churches and monasteries. The settlement in this sheltered valley, where Christians chose to settle in the 4th century to keep their faith alive, is also intertwined with historical ruins. The people of Soğanlı, who welcome their guests with a smiling face, have another feature: they are the creators of the handmade Soğanlı dolls, each more beautiful than the other, with their colorful clothes and beads.
