The plaster bust of Thomas Jefferson is a copy of a work by the French sculptor Jean-Antoine Houdon (1741-1828). It is displayed in the Great Hall of the Library of Congress.
The most familiar George Washington portrait, the one adorning current one dollar banknote of United States. The oval frame used in the bill is carefully removed in editing to give designers more flexibility.
