A glimpse of the ancient remains of the Roman temple of Portico d'Ottavia in the Jewish quarter of Rome, or Roman Ghetto, in the historic heart of the Eternal City. The iconic Jewish neighborhood, the oldest ghetto in Europe, is famous for the presence of hidden alleys and small squares, where it is easy to find restaurants of Italian and Jewish cuisine, and remarkable Roman archaeological remains. The Ghetto of Rome is located in one of the oldest districts of the city between the Campidoglio, or Roman Capitol, and the River Tiber. Rome, Italy: Trajan's Market - the brick building, which is now mostly viewed as an ancient multi-purpose building, was built during the time of Emperor Trajan. It has six floors and the building was designed in a semicircle. The construction was probably started under Domitian (81-96 AD) and then continued and completed under Trajan (98-117 AD). The Trajan's Markets were created in 100–110 AD in connection with the Trajan's Forum, but as an independent complex. The architect named is Apollodorus of Damascus, who was also responsible for the Trajan Forum.
