Ajanta Caves are a UNESCO World Heritage Site\nLocated in, Aurangabad district, Maharashtra, India\nThe Ajanta Caves are approximately thirty rock-cut Buddhist cave monuments dating from the second century BCE to about 480 CE. The caves include paintings and rock-cut sculptures described as among the finest surviving examples of ancient Indian art, particularly expressive paintings that present emotions through gesture, pose and form.

Stone Buddha niches at Yungang Grottoes, ancient Chinese Buddhist temple grottoes built during the Northern Wei dynasty near the city of Datong, in the province of Shanxi. Termessos, a mountain city, was founded by the Solymos (Solymites), known as a people fond of freedom. The Solymos mentioned in Homer's Iliad are known as the people of Termessos. The city of Termessos is one of the Psidia settlements in the Pamphylia region, established on the rocky slopes of Güllük Mountain.
