Boston, MA, US-June 11, 2023:  Close-up view of the newly restored Robert Gould Shaw and the Massachusetts 54th Regiment Memorial commemorating the 1st African American regiment in the civil war. The sculpture is by Augustus Saint-Gaudens who created it on May 31, 1897. It is located opposite 24 Beacon Street, next to the Boston Common. It is part of the historic Freedom Trail.
