Erica canaliculata, also called channelled heath, hairy gray heather, bull’s eye design Erica, Janome Erika (in Japan), black stamen Erica, and black-eyed heath, is an erect growing evergreen shrub, which is native to South Africa. It is a flowering plant, with large sprays of pink flowers with black stamen which bloom in winter and spring (December-March).
