Kanchenjunga, also spelled Kangchenjunga or Kinchinjunga, Nepali Kumbhkaran Lungur, world’s third highest mountain, with an elevation of 28,169 feet (8,586 metres). The wide variety of weapons and equipment used throughout the course of the second world war make for fascinating research and exploration - The Lee–Enfield was the standard British & Commonwealth service rifle, being a bolt-action, magazine-fed repeating rifle that served as the main firearm of the military forces of the British Empire and Commonwealth during the first half of the 20th century, and was the standard service rifle of the British Armed Forces from its official adoption in 1895 until 1957.\n\nThis image was taken at an outdoor event over the weekend of 11th-13th August 2023, where reenactors, living historians, and members of the public can come to experience what life was like during the second world war, with live demonstrations, battle reenactments, and static displays from all over the world.
