Agapanthus, also called African lily or Lily of the Nile, is summer-flowering perennial plant, grown for its showy flowers, commonly in shades of blue and purple, but also white and pink colors.

$Short to medium, hairy perennial, overwintering by leafy rosettes; stems erect, rather robust. \nLeaves mostly opposite or whorl, oblong to linear-lanceolate, scarcely stalked, slightly toothed, not clasping the stem. Flowers pale purplish-pink, small , 7-12mm , in a lax raceme; stigma 4-lobed. Variable species.\nHabitat: Waste ground on damp soils, stream banks, marshes and fens, to 2500m.\nFlowering Season: July-August\nDistribution: Throughout Europe, except the extreme North, the Faeroes and Iceland.\n\nI found this Species in my Garden on a damp location in the Summer of 2022.$
