This protected area encompasses Hog Island, a small, uninhabited island, and the surrounding waters of Woburn and Clarkes Court Bay. The region is known for its rich marine biodiversity, featuring extensive mangrove forests, seagrass beds, and coral reefs that provide critical habitats for various marine species. The area serves as an important nursery for fish and is home to numerous bird species, including frigatebirds and pelicans. Established to preserve the delicate coastal and marine ecosystems, this Marine Protected Area (MPA) plays a crucial role in Grenada's conservation efforts.
