Nuuk / Godthåb, Sermersooq, Greenland: building of the Kayak Association (Peqatigiiffik Qajaq Nuuk) in the colonial harbor -  Indigenous peoples made the first kayaks nearly 4,000 years ago in the subarctic regions of the world. The new Consulate serves as a counter for U.S. government agencies ranging from the State Department to the Departments of Commerce and Interior, working on sustainable tourism as well as land and park management. The US keeps a large military presence in Greenland, including the famous Pituffik / Thule Air Base.

Nuuk / Godthåb, Sermersooq, Greenland: Moravian Brethren Mission House or Herrnhut House located in Noorliit, overlooking the Nuup Kangerlua fjord. The Moravian Church began missionary work in Greenland in 1733, competing with Hans Egede. The Herrnhut House was established in 1747 with timber shipped to the United Brethren from the Netherlands. The historical form harks back to typical Moravian architectural guidelines, with the rectangular plan representing Jerusalem. It was the centre of the Moravian Brethren Mission in Greenland and the missionaries operated across the west coast of Greenland from this building. One of Greenland's most important historic buildings (numbered B-7).
