SetĂşbal, Portugal: Bofors 40mm L/60 automatic gun on a warship - the 40  mm Bofors L/60 is an anti-aircraft gun designed by the Swedish gunmaker Bofors in the early 1930s . It was designed as a versatile intermediate cannon. Its initial version was called 40L60, because the tube has a theoretical length equal to 60 times the caliber. It was manufactured in Sweden by the Bofors company itself, but also licensed in many other countries. It achieved a prestigious status thanks to his efficiency and great success during the London defence of the Battle of Britain. Pearl Harbor, USA - April 1st, 2022: Port side of USS Missouri. National historic sites at Pearl Harbor tell the story of the battle that plunged US into World War II.
a glimpse into the industrial past, where precision and manual control were paramount. The image is focused on a panel featuring two aged pressure gauges encased in glass, their needles poised in a still dance of measurement. A brass diagram plate, etched with operational instructions, stands out with a luminous sheen, suggesting the importance of this guidance in the machinery s operation. Below, a trio of levers with spherical handles sits in readiness, each marked with signs of wear that hint at countless adjustments over years of service. The composition is rounded out by the warm glow of a bulb, casting an ambient light that highlights the textures of metal and the patina of time.
