Buenos Aires, Argentina - People at the Plaza San Martin Square in Buenos Aires city. Plaza San Martín - San Martín Square - Plaza General San Martín (Buenos Aires) is the main green space in the Retiro neighborhood in Buenos Aires. Inaugurated in 1862 where a bullring had previously existed, it was declared a National Historic Site in 1942. It is surrounded by Santa Fe Avenue, Esmeralda, Arenales, Maipú streets, Libertador Avenue, Florida street and San Martín street. Monument to General San Martín and the Armies of the independence at the Plaza San Martin Square in Buenos Aires city.

The Salzburg Protestants were about 20,000 faith refugees from the catholic Archdiocese Salzburg, who had to leave their home because of an expulsion decree from 1731.
