$The Sanctuary of Santa Maria dell’Auricola or also the Sanctuary of the Madonna dell’Auricola stands on the top of the hill of the same name, 270 meters above sea level and a few kilometers from the center of Amaseno. According to historical data and some artifacts found in 1896 it can be deduced that the construction of the sanctuary can be traced back to the early 13th century by the Benedictine monks. In 1897, during the restoration, an abbey seal was discovered on which both the figure of an abbot and an inscription that read: \$

The Umbria region, considered the green lung of Italy for its wooded mountains, is characterized by a perfect integration between nature and the presence of man, in a context of environmental sustainability and healthy life. In addition to its immense artistic and historical heritage, Umbria is famous for its food and wine production and for the high quality of the olive oil produced in these lands.
