I've wanted to visit this location for a while. This cairn circle is believed to be a Bronze Age round enclosure and the site is also that of an Iron Age hillfort.\n\nAs it was St. Pirans day, I sat on the cliffside with a bottle of 'Proper Job' looking at Cape Cornwall and savoured the beauty of Kernow….’ansum.

Silver, lead and zinc were discovered here in the 1880s and the town flourished for a short time until much larger deposits were discovered nearby at Broken Hill.
