Convolvulus tricolor is a species of morning glory.
Hairless, short to medium perennial; stems erect, square and hollow, with a creeping and rooting base. Leaf linear to lanceolate, opposite toothed or almost untoothed, half clasping the stem; with translucent gland-dots. Flowers white , veined and tinged with purplish-red. 10-18mm, tubular 2 lipped, the lower lip 3-lobed, borne in leafy racemes.\nHabitat: Wet places, meadows, marshes, river and stream banks, ditches.\nFlowering Season: May-October.\nDistribution: Belgium, Holland, France and Germany. From W and C Europe to W Asia.\n\nThis is a rare Species in the Netherlands. The Picture is made in my Garden Pond.\nThe Plant is Poisonous but in the past used as Herbal Medicine.

Milabilis jalapa comes in different colors such as red, violet, pink, yellow and white. A single flower can also be splashed with different colors. Flowers usually open in late afternoon (around 4 o’clock), hence also called Four O’clock flower. Another name is Marvel of Peru, since different colors of flowers bloom from the same plant. It normally blooms from July to October in case of temperate zone region.

Mericarps hairy.\nHabitat: Upper parts of Salt Marshes, brackish marshes, ditches and stream margins, close to the sea generally and at low attitudes.\nFlowering Season: August-September.\nDistribution: Britain, Belgium, France, Holland, Denmark and Germany.\nEdible marsh-mallow was originally prepared from mucilage obtained from the roots and the plant was formerly used as an ingredient of soothing ointments. Occasionally cultivated today. \n\nThis Picture was made in an Ornamental Garden, during a Vacation in Ireland in the Summer of 2022.
