New Mexico has some of the flattest land as well as some of the most rugged mountains in the country. Some portions of the state are rich in pine forests, meadows, and fish-laden mountain streams, while other areas are devoid of any water bodies, and even cacti struggle to survive.
This unique image captures the famous White House in Canyon de Chelly in a sepia tone.  The stained varnish adds to the visual strength as the lines of varnish seems to accent the height of the canyon wall.

Cliff dwelling Sinagua Indian ruin used during the 12th to 13th centuries along steep ledges high above  canyon floor.  The Sinagua were pueblo style desert dwellers where typically the only greenery was the evergreen juniper and pinion pine.  This image shows both structure and cave as well as desert pine.
